Ongoing list of decent BMX bikes.
I searched and didn't see a list of decent BMX bikes, I think we all have our preferences (usually the ones we ride or drool over) So i think we should do it like this. Renaming bikes is ok, it'll be more like a review then.
Brand: Weight: Speed: Cost: Performance: Availability of parts: Durability: Skill: So I'll start, and if a mod or someone thinks that this is a good idea, they should sticky it. Brand: Hoffman Weight: Heavy as all hell, but easy to manual, wheelie, and jump. Speed: Not the fastest bike around although its not really made for racing. Cost: Average for a high performance bike. ($450) Performance: Excellent once you get the hang of it. Awkward weight Availability of Parts: Ehh, you can find 'em, but not the stock ones. Durability: Havent broken it yet. Skill: Intermediate, someone new probably shouldn't ride this bike. |
As well as this is an idea, and a thoughtful way to help out, there are already lots of posts on this same thing. There are at least a few hundred threads telling people to get a DK Six Pack if they are beginners (not even kidding on the hundreds part). If they aren't beginners or have a bit of extra money to spend, people go for Fit Flows, Integral Bel-Airs, Stolen Heaters, and now the new Kink Roc. All of this has been stated many times. If we all post something up (which I doubt because there are a lot of really lazy people here), this may work. I doubt it, though.

The Goal is to stop those threads, they kind of take away from all the extra stuff in the BMX forum, for example how to do a specific stunt. If someone posts something like that, then we can redirect them to this thread and delete their "What bike should i get" thread, then it'll clean up this section of the forum nicely. Leaving room for questions and/or stories that dont get as much attention as they deserve because people are asking the same question over and over.
Speaking of that....we need to have a way for people to ask specific questions on a specific bike. This is a job for... THE ADMINISTRATOR!!! |
Is the DK CINCINNATI any good?

|

Gengar was never that good... he just looked cool.
|
Pokemon Yellow would like a word with you.
|
I think that's still in my Gameboy from a few years back. I really want to pick it up again just to do that surfing minigame. I used to be the boss at that.
|
It was easily the best pokemon game, plus I had a lvl99 Gengar.
It was sweet to be able to do all the final pokemon league battles with just one pokemon. |
i think they stole gengar from the spitfire skateboard wheels...
