BMX tips for a longer ride?

I'm getting a Iron Horse Jump 07, as soon as I get 30 more $. Any one want to help?

Anyways, is it a good idea to take a BMX bike on longer trips [eg 40km round trip] or just take a MTB/commuter?

I may try a superman, someday.

Also, I tried a messenger bag today, and I hated it.

Not a good commuter at all. Bmx are for short distances.

I use my BMX for short commutes 5-6 days a week. It's not really "slower" than a MTB but it's more tiring going up hills.
