What to look for in a frame?
I want a good frame for 20-inch wheels. I would like the brake to run on the bottom of the top tube. I want something that is not heavy, and parts are readily available to choose from.
Thanks |
Search.

Go to Danscomp.com and look at the frames they have.

well i was just wondering who makes good frames. And I know that not everyone makes good frames.
|
I am 5'8, 135 pounds. So a light frame would be ok. Not sure on a length, something between 20.2 and 20.75. Gyro compatible, and peg compatible. Easy to do tricks but strong enough to jump.
Any comments would be great. Trust me I have searced everywhere. |
No you haven't. Stop being lazy and go look for frames. Tell us one you like and we will tell you if it is good or not.

ok, one question then. What style of BB?(Euro, Spanish, Mid)
|
FBM AutoPilot?
|
I don't know much about BB's so I don't know for sure. I would say anything sealed. :-p
|
Mid bb, autopilots crack by the way, not too good

Then find a frame you like, and go to the manufacturers web site.
Sometimes you have to just trust the pics you see, thats what I and many, many, other people have had to do.. |

In all seriousness - I hate to break it to you, but there is no SINGLE magic website that shows every angle of every frame. You simply have to do the digging yourself on a frame you like. For example - I have NEVER held, ridden or seen in person a Subrosa Pandora frame, but I DO know how it looks from every angle AND have a general idea on how it will handle. All from paying attention to various BMX news sites, discussion boards, online retailers and of course, the manufacturer's site. The info is out there - you just have to find it. -Bill |
Half of this thread is gone, I wonder what happened....haha
