    question?

I am 36 years old and I was really big into BMX back in the late '80's. I used to race in BMX races all through my teen years. Now I ride mountain bikes. However, I have never lost that passion for BMX bikes and was just wondering if there are any other guys my age riding BMX. I know there are some pro's doing it, but I mean just regular guys on this forum. I would love to buy myself a new BMX bike, and since I have some unused land I could build a killer track. If I did buy a new bike, since I haven't riden one in years, what would be a good bike for a guy about 5'10".

I'm not saying your old, but older guys usually get cruisers. A Redline Proline Cruiser would be a great bike. Also GT makes some pretty good race bikes. But what is your budget?

Patrick, there are PLENTY of of old guys still riding. I'm 37 & do light street riding/park riding/racing.
I'm nowhere near close to being pro, or even a good am, but the point is to have fun. Check out some sites like vintagebmx.com, bmxmuseum.com, o-sbmx.com and you'll find a bunch of guys riding at all levels.
To answer your question, a little more info would be good. You planning on racing, hitting the local skateparks, or just cruisin around? What's your budget like? Give us some more info like that & we can point you in a few good directions.

What I am looking for is something to kick around on some local dirt trails with some small jumps, maybe even learn some new freestyle tricks. Money is not a problem but I probably would want to go about $400 or less if possible. No racing. Believe me those days are gone.

Here is your answer. This bike is perfect for you. http://www.danscomp.com/101661.php

There are also some codes to get you certain percentages off. For example 36k7 is for 10% off.

This bike is also pretty good. The main difference is the back rim and the cranks on the Roc are 48 Spline. This is okay, and a little cheaper. http://www.danscomp.com/101659.php?cat=BIKES

Exactly why that Kink would be good.

I'd drop $400 bones on that bad boy.
