Here's my training week.
S- 1 hour road ride.
M- 30 min road ride + upper body weights.
T- Grass sprints 100 yd 3setsx5 45 sec recovery.
W- 45 min uptempo road ride.
T- Hill Sprints Grass and Road.
F- BMX spin session in the forest. Fast.
S- Core work.
Brian that sounds like some good old fashion hard work. I might just do that. I don't have track around so that worries me.

The nearest track is an hour and a half away. So I am just training as hard as I can. And if the opportunity arises that I don't have class or work then I do my best to get to the track that day. Tuesday is gate practice and we have two race weekends a month this winter. So those are my goals to get there as much as possible.

Here's what I do. Wear a 55lb vest 6 hours a day, as well as a 45lb aid bag. I carry a 7.5lb weight in addition to all that. When I am finished with that it's usually 3-4 miles run, 6-10 miles on a stationary bike, then every other day is abs, back/shoulders, arms in that order with a day off of the free weights/machines. I eat a ton of carbs and always have a monster in my hand for the most part. Doesnt sound so bad, but do it in 130 degrees for 6 months and 40 degrees for 6 months.
I don't really do sprints unless I'm taking cover lol
In all seriousness, the best thing you can do to train for ANYTHING is A:do it, and B:eat well. Discipline.

Hmm. I have a Rock River mid length with a forward grip, flashlight, and red dot, and mil-spec BUIS, but I don't think it's 7.5 LBs. I could be wrong.
