Best Bike Under $250

Okay guys I'm looking for a nice BMX bike under $250

Example: Haro, Hoffman, Free Agent, Diamondback, Ect...

Preferably: Haro or Hoffman

I want the best bang for the buck..and I want the bike to look sweet.

it all depends on what you plan on using the bike for. If you plan on ramping and pounding the bike I would go for a bike like the hoffman or haro. But if you are just crusing or lightly beating the bike I would go for a cheaper bike (diamond back, ect). I bought a trashed diamond back for 20$ and fixed it up for 30 more dollars(looks and rides great).

I Personally think that GTs SUCK and thats because i have one. I have to tell you that it is not the most veresitile bike. If you really want to check out some bikes go to www.danscomp.com it really helps alot..

Hey, Lets not rip on the GT's. My Bestwick pro is a great bike that i have had no problem with. It is a great bike to start with has it has a great frame, and decent parts. I have since upgraded cranks, pedals, and have a new S&M pitcfork on the way. Even though GT did sell out They still make good bikes for the price. (Buy one at a bike store not Sportmart or Target)

Also, if you dont want to go the route of a GT I would go with a Poverty Buck 99. You can get one for $199. Great bike. The only downside is that if you want to ride pegs you are going to need to swap out the axles.

Well good luck.

I'm sure some will argue, but Haro offers the best value for the money right now. Check ebay for some great deals on new Mirra Pro frames. I wouldn't buy anything from GT right now. Maybe when the emerge from chapter 13, but right now they are making Wal-Mart bikes. I'm not a big fan of Haro, but they are really trying to get back to their roots, and are putting out a great value bike/frame.
