How do I know...
I want to know if my hub is sealed, and how i find out. It's because i heared some bearings moving I think, but I'm not sure whether it is my hub, or bottom bracket? Also, can bearings move in a sealed hub anyway?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Open the hub, it is pretty obvious if it is sealed or not when opened. Yes.

just undo/loosen all of the threaded cones/washers that are on the axle. and if it is unsealed, make sure not to lose any of the balls. that would be pretty stupid.

i'll just leave it then, it was around £200 for the hub, about $400, so i'm guessing that it will be sealed.

It's unlikely that balls are rattling around inside a hub. They're packed in grease, and even if it gets dirt and grit in it, the balls are still going to be coated in it and not clacking around.

unless they somehow got into the main shell of the hub, past all of the cones. i dont think that could happen, but i guess its possible.
