You're asking about $100 too much for it, that's why.

I think the average BMX crowd simply don't have the funds. I could readily see that as a steal with a Ben Franklin and a half but the BMX'ers with money will buy new. Then the poor folks out there will buy Wal Mart so you're really gonna have to just wait until someone with the appreciation of what you have will see the merit of their purchase.
Then there's the economy.
You're not alone. Those that want to sell their custom made road bikes anything over a thousand will sit and sit. But eventually someone will bite.
It's like fishing.

(edit) I see a one piece crank. If you had a three piece quality crank it may have sold already.

It's a several-year old, used K2 with DK parts, one-piece cranks, and what appears to be bent forks. It makes perfect sense.

I think that you don't know what you're talking about. Like, at all.

First looks like 1 piece crank. If so your ad looks like B.S. because you specify that it was made with best parts. #2 don't mention scratches. That quickly signals that some thing is wrong. Any BMX bike that has seen use will have them. Word it as "normal wear marks" or even "frame in ridden condition", see photo. Last price is too high. You'd be lucky to get an even hundred. I'm not recommending this one, but it is an example that a new bike can be had for less than $100 more of your price. That's what perspective buyers are thinking. http://www.danscomp.com/101063.php?cat=BIKES

put the end of a tape measure on one bar end and then pull it straight across to the other bar end. read off what the tape measure says, and theres your measurement.

It was a great bike in its time circa of 1999-2000? Also K2 is a company that just basically makes a lot of short running products which doesn't help, either. The price is all right just you will have to find a mid school bmx lover like myself who would give that bike a new home.

I dont know bikes. But i do know that something is only worth what someone will pay for it. I hear people say that they want to sell their homes all the time but they cant get what it is worth. A financial lady on TV straightened them out. If no one will pay it, then it isnt worth what you are asking.

Of course you arent selling a home. I suppose it would depend on your market. If no one in that area is looking for a bike like that then you have little chance of it selling.

I hope it works out for you.

That bike has never been a "great bike". Even when it was brand new. There is nothing "great" about K2, one piece cranks, heavy hi-tensile steel garbage frames with excessive welds and gussets, dinner plate dropouts, and unsealed headset, bottom bracket, and hubs. Just throw it out, or give it to some kid on the street to make his day. And Dk parts from that time are also garbage.

You are only 18 and at that time you were only 10 or so. What would you know about that bike and what is your problem?

You are very naive. I have been riding, building, repairing, maintaining bmx bikes since i was about 10, and always interested since the time i first rode on 2 wheels. I have worked in local shops and i am a widely respected rider in winnipegs local bmx scene. I could tell you specs on at least 80% if not more of what is on the market today and unlike you who would have to read a spec sheet to know what is on their own bike, I can see with my eyes. Think and say what you want about me, I am only trying to tell you the truth. you won't get much for a bike like that, unless you are lucky enough to stumble upon some huge idiot.

Look, I am not here to make enemies here. So good on you if you can look at a bike and read it without a spec sheet unlike most of us, here. Another thing I haven't said anything to or about you. No slander and no slang. I was just saying that on a midschool bmx lover he may get the worth of that bike for what he is asking for.

Im not here to make enemies either. i'm just trying to answer the question you asked and you don't seem to get it. The bike wont sell because it is a piece of garbage. K2 will never be good, or even decent in the mind of anyone even mildly involved in bmx. Like i said earlyer, your best bet is finding some gangsta moron walking down the street or something. chicago out the bars and as for $20 bucks or something.

It is certain that we are good at pressing each others buttons so I will end it and conclude that you are perhaps right, shake hands and walk off from this topic. At least we got a to a reasonable conclusion about the other topic that we have discussed, earlier.

You aren't pressing any of my buttons. you are just failing to see the bike you bought a few years ago is acctually a piece of garbage. You can buy a complete now a days for $50 bucks more that will be better then that thing.

True, I will admit that a bmx for 50.00 more than his asking price will be a better buy. I am certain that is why their are a lot of bikers these days, it's nice to see that outcome.
