does anyone ever disagree?

did i walk in on an attempt to make a utopian society? no cussing, no disagreeing? no getting mad? no being human? the dyno riders in here think they are da bomb and sooooooo much better than me, someone explain. are you all clones like this? have fun, ride. utopian societys were tryed about 100 years ago, they didn't work, because we are human, therefor not perfect even if you think you are.

bluebmx 12-23-01 05:01 PM

if you don't know what a utopian society is ask.

Chris L 12-23-01 05:22 PM

Actually, plenty of people have disagreed on various issues in various threads on these forums. I, myself, have been invovled in quite a few of them. However, personal flames (i.e. namecalling and such) are not allowed. This is not an attempt to make a utopian society, just an attempt to keep posts on topic for the benefit of other forum readers.

What is a utopian society?

I think Thbirks wanted to know what bluebmx had in mind in his "utopian society". As I said before, there have been plenty of disagreements on this board, so I'm not really sure what he's on about myself.

dynokid BB2 12-23-01 07:55 PM

he meant all the rules and stuff. but its cool.

I have just read most of the posts from bluebmx. It is too bad that in all the time I have been on the forums that not until today have I seen this kind of attitude from any of the posters. I am really hoping that Joe will put a finish to this person soon and that we can get back to the civil conversations that this forum is noted for. I really hope that it doesn't turn into another typical newgroups forum with everyone flaming everyone and absolutely no valid information being exchanged.

:(

Great work Joe! Thanks for keeping this place as great as always!:D :D :D :D :D

Thank you :)

I think it is only fitting that we observe a moment of silence for the departed and...Oh who am I kidding. It's not worth it.

Thanks Joe.

How does a vocabulary get to be "sufficent enough"? This term is non existent. A vocabulary is either sufficient or insufficient for the purpose in mind at the time. I would have expected one with your eloquence and fluent grasp of verbal expression to find such ludicrous and unnecessary diction to be far below your intellectual plane. ;)

:D

i will rarely (if ever) come back again. but that dude said with 4 others. who are they? see im being civil. this is bluebmx.

So you're being civil. Congratulations. What do you want, a medal?

I realize that it is probably a lot of work for you to say something that lacks both insults and swearing, and I'm sure you're exhusted from the effort. Keep it up though, and don't loose hope, because it gets eaiser with time. Soon you'll even be ready for the next big step: saying something polite!

The road from foul mouthed grade-school cuss to mature adult is a difficult one, but I know you can do it.

And if you can't, well, I doubt you'd be letting anyone down.

dynokid BB2 12-24-01 03:54 PM

i never cussed once, before or after i was kicked off.

DOCTORJ 12-24-01 08:26 PM

In defense of bluebmx, i was on the previous message board and despite the occasional foul language, he was a very helpful member. he gave tips on riding and offered very valid advice about bikes, parts, etc. i don't much care if i'm banned for being one of his "cohorts" but i feel someone needs to know about him.

dynokid BB2 12-24-01 09:39 PM

foul language? i know you can;t give an example on here but i never have used the S, F, H, D, words b4. now i have used crap and a slang for the male reproductive organs, but thats all i think.

I read most of his posts, and I do have to concede you have a point. He does have information that could well be useful for riders. However, the reason he was banned (under that username) was that he was posting spam about the other site, something that is clearly not allowed if you read the forum guidelines.

Additionally, one can quite easily give advice without being condescending (i.e. referring to people as 'Walmart riders' etc). He has shown in some of his posts that he can offer this advice without necessarily resorting to foul language or insults, I'd like to see him do that more often.

dynokid BB2 12-25-01 08:26 AM

foul language ? what is your definition of that, not just real cuss words, but whatever. thank you for the compliment. il try to be nicer and give advice and cut the crap.

Well, generally they get eaten up by the * anyway, so it doesn't matter. I think I was confusing you with some of the other members who came across from that other forum and for that I apologise. Some of those people used words much worse than 'crap'.

GravityBmxer 01-10-02 09:37 AM

We all disagree sometimes.

GravityBmxer 01-10-02 09:38 AM

Oops I did not mean to post my name in red. sorry.
