Mirraco Blend One? Anyone know anything about it?

Is it a good beginner bike? I know there are better bikes for the price, but I have store credit at my local shop and its the only BMX they still carry.

no

I'm sorta in the same boat. My old LBD with whom I am loyal has changed his line several times over the years. He now is mostly a Trek dealer which I assume is affiliated with Mirraco. I have not looked at the one's, but was very interested in the Blend Park and maybe the Black Pearl 3. I'm not a fan of gyros but other than that the bikes seem good. I'm now waiting to hear back from them to see if the shop can still get other brands as they once did for me. If not I'm hoping to see what the specks are on the 09 Blend and Black Pearl 3's. If you have a credit, use it if they are your only choice. At least you will have after sales support that is missing with a net purchase :).

buy a nicer bike and use the credit for part upgrades.

Actually, my bad. I was assuming that the one was an entry level hi-tensil framed cheap complete, but I checked out the specs and its actually dialed. Full chromoly frame fork bars, cassette hub, sealed 3 piece crank, good rims. Definitely a good beginner bike. The only issue is that the frame is only a 20'' top tube and may already be to short for you. Id say if you are over 5'4'' its probably going to feel very cramped and you will outgrow it right away.

Yeah, I just bought it today and thats exactly how it feels. So awkward to pedal while sitting down so I'm standing %100 of the time. I might have to raise the seat eventually.

its a bmx you dont sit and pedal.

maybe you can swap the frame out for a good deal, any other local riders that maybe shorter than you?

 Classic example of "look before you leap" , aye Fuzzy ;).

Was gonna say upgrade to the Two, but significant jump in price.
