Want to start riding again

Hey everyone I got a quick question. I used to ride about 6 years ago when i was 14 and since then I had stopped riding. In the past three years I got into mountain biking and road biking and am now looking at getting back into street and park and trails. I was looking for some advice on the right size bike for me. Im 5'11 and weigh 155. I was looking at 26ers and 24's urban assult type bikes, but like I said, I want to get back to my BMX roots. I rode a 20 inch with a 21" top tube at a bike shop the other day and it felt weird being on such small wheels. Will i get used to this or should i just look for a bigger bike. Thanks for the help

Also since i've gotten taller and stronger since i was 14 will it be easier to bunny hop higher and that kind of stuff like that because th bike will be smaller on me

21" tt is possibly a little on the long side for you, contrary to what you might expect, though if you have short legs and a long upper body it could also be just right.

usually i'd say try a few and see what feels best, but if you're coming from mtb/road they're *all* gonna feel weird and it'll be difficult for you to judge the differences between them. though at the end of the day, whatever you get, you'll get used to it pretty quickly if you ride it exclusively for a week or so.

I race A 21.5 top tube and I'm 5'8" at 200lbs
I just started riding a 20" wednesday and raced it tonight it took a few laps to get use to but was fine after that .
I have been on a 24 cruiser racing for a couple months now and been on track and road bikes before that

I'm 6', 170lbs and got back on 20" BMX this year for the first time in a deacade. It took some getting used to my 20.5" TT frame. It's taken longer getting used to everyone saying, "Aren't you a little big for that bike?". Get a light complete that you like the looks of and have a blast, you'll dig into it in no time.

Alright, I really appreciate yalls input. I got another question now, would a 20 be good for riding around a college campus? That would be another plus because the college that i am going to transfer too has no trails around it so that is another reason i am looking at getting a bmx bike, cause everyone knows colleges have the best spots and since there are now mtn bike trails it leaves me with my road bike only which is fine, but i need my fix of adrenaline that a road bike cant offer

Eh just to travel around a college I wouldnt ride the 20, i wouldnt trust locking it up somewhere. Plus roadbikes will definitely get u around campus quicker, especially since alot of campuses are kind of hilly. But there are always some good spots to hit at college campuses.

Yea i would be a lot more worried about locking up my 1400 dollar road bike as oppose to a 700 dollar one although i can just keep both in the apartment. But i will prob end up getting one just to session the area when i get bored cause i just remember how fun it was back in the day to go out and ride the town the whole day
