Which new BMX bike?
Im looking to buy a new bike, i like the following:
1. Mongoose Rogue 2009.
2. Kuwahara Bravo I BMX
3. Felt Manic 2008
All 3 bikes are 100% Cro-Mo. I want it mainly for freestyle. Im open to suggestions too, if you have another bike thats good please share. Im from the UK, and these 3 all cost roughly the same (250-270 pounds). Thanks.
And is it possible for me to add a gyro, and front brake on the Kuwahara bike?
Also, why do people hate Mongoose bikes? are they bad?

Nice selection.
Toss the mongoose idea. Mongoose are the "high-end" cheap bikes. In other words, good for kids, junk for anyone over 80lbs wanting a trick bike. They just dont have the quality of other bikes.
Now between the Felt and the Bravo. Personally, i like Felt. Nice solid bikes and sexy colors on the one you show a pic of. The Felt i had was pretty damn light also.
In other words, FELT!!! Lol
EDIT: It's possible to add a gyro and front brake to ANY bike. So, yes its possible.

thx for the advice, yea i think the Felt is the best bike there. the 2009 model RRP is 400 pounds here, but a local shop has the 2008 model (the one in the pic) for on clearance for 250, bargain
i may strech my budget to get a Fit bike though... is it worth it?

1. Yes, the Mongoose he is asking about is not the greatest, but they are producing some really good completes as of late, junk for anyone over 80lbs? Far from it my friend.
2. Felt. Do I need to say anything else? They are not one of the better companies making completes. The only reason people even know about Felt is because of Scotty Cranmer who, for some strange reason, choses to ride their bikes. There are much better choices out there.
3. Never ever use "Lol" on these forums, please.

Bmx2478- 1) Mongoose is still junk. Will be junk for years to come. Mongoose used to be my fav bike when i was kid, now i realize they suck. Give them a few more years.
2) Felt makes nice bikes. Nothing wrong with them at all. And i dont know who Scotty Cranmer is, so you cant exactly say thats how i know Felt. Few freiends from the bike park have Felts and they are pretty nice. Of course there are much better choices, but out of the 3 he posted, Felt is the best.
3) I can and will use whatever abbreviation i like LOL, good day.

Mongoose use to make beautiful bikes. They were one of the go to brands of the 70's or 80's, if im correct. The mongooses you see in Walmart and places like that are obviously not going to do you a whole good. But the mongoose listed above is an actual mongoose made bike. Not a Badly made department store bike with "Mongoose" on it.

Word is, Scotty Cranmer is ditching Felt and they're going under. And yes, lanfarm they used to be the best of the best bikes back in the 70's and 80's, my dad talks about how they used to be some of the most expensive ones out.
