Hi... I'm Lauren...and I'm from Mass. I ride a now customized(but bought it stock a few yrs ago) hoffman dirtmerchant2.. I'm building trails behind my house this summer, if anyone in the area wants to help me you are MORE than welcome. =) Question.. I've heard mixed reviews of S&M pedals.. some people say they are crap, some say they have great grip.. right now I still have the ones that came stock with the bike, and theyre all worn down, so I need new ones. A friend of mine tells me not to go with S&Ms, but I dont know.. I've ridden them before on someone else's bike and the grip was really good. thank ahead for any advice! xo!

HEY LAUREN! finally a dudette ridin'! ANYWAYS, yah I've ridden some S&M's before, and they never really gave me a probleme, but u know that could be the complete difference from wat someone else says. Yah theyr really good pedals coming from one dude then naw they don't last and suckarse coming from someone else, but that really someones opinion, alot of ppl hate bmxing but then those who do like it, like it alot! so if i were u i'd buy the damn pedals and c how i like them!

I don't BMX myself, I'm just a boring commuter and cycle-junkie myself... but I feel the obligation (lack of a better choice) to say hey - welcome to the forums - good to see someone else from the Bean online.

Can't speak to the pedals, but S&M, only heard good things... and bad... wait, what are we talking about?

S&M pedals used to be pretty good, if they have changed the way they are manufactured then I never heard about it. I do remember them not being very expensive compared to other ones. check out Dick Mauls down in Halifax I think. Uh that is if you are close by there.
