Hey alan. I found out the difference. This is it. Forged has a sealed bearings B.B. set and tubular does not and tubular has a sealed cartridge bearings and forged does not. Your welcome.

Sorry guys but you are wrong Forged cranks can come with a sealed or non sealed bottom bracket and same for tubular. The difference is that forged are made out of one solid piece of metal that has been "forged" or molded into a crank. Tubular cranks are ecactly that, Tubular. they are made up of three differnt tubes basically, there is a hollow tube that makes up the basic length of the crank, then ther is the tubes for the pedal spindle to thread into and one for the bottom bracket spindle to fit into.

Tubular cranks are usually MUCH better than any forged crank, because of there tubular design they are much less suseptable to bending and can take a much harder beating. The one exception are the Odyssey Black Widow cranks and there are a few others. But in the long run, TUBULAR are a LOT better.

~ $130 is average. That's what I paid for my profiles (which I would highly recommend).

Browse https://danscomp.com or check your LBS to see what they have in stock.
