Pitchforks?

I've never upgraded a BMX bike, only mountain bikes, so I'm really not familiar with parts or compatibility. I found Pitchforks on Craigslist for $10. I had heard that the XLT's work only with with integrated headsets, but I'm assuming these are probably the old heavy style since they're so cheap. Assuming they're not bent and are in good condition, are they any good? And will the old version work with integrated headsets too (specifically a 1-1/8" integrated sealed)? Anything else I should look out for (do people cut the steering tube so it could potentially be too short, for example)? Thanks!

any forks will work with integrated headsets. even if they dont say "only for use with integrated headsets"...and pitchforks are pitchforks. the difference in the ones you're looking at and the new ones is weight.

Alright, well as long as it'll work and it's a decent fork. I'm not too concerned about the weight, since I'm sure the stock fork I have now is pretty heavy and I doubt a few ounces matters much on a BMX bike anyway. Dropouts are the right size and all, so as long as everything else seems to be good I can pick up these for my bike and put my old fork on my cousin's bike, since I'm pretty sure that one's running a hi-ten fork. I'll go look at them this weekend to make sure they're not bent or anything. Thanks!

I'm not going to lie...I'm kind of scared now. I read some threads where you guys say weight doesn't matter, and if your bike is heavy, suck it up and lift, yet this fork is heavy enough to warrant warnings. Well, I'll go check it out, and if I feel like I'm picking up a dual crown fork, I might pass on it haha.
