I do. I needed a change, and chrome isn't the best braking surface in wet weather. I'll be putting them back on soon.

There are brake pads you can get for wet weather. I use 990 brakes on polished rims with stock pads and have no problems at all. Brakes though are a good thing. Being able to slow down or stop if needed is always a good idea.

It's not a problem of pads, it's the braking surface of the rim that matters. Chrome, which works wonders when dry and clean, is horrible when moist. Even the best pads for wet weather are incomparable to dry chrome.

its up to what u like to ride, if u like trails ride brakes so u dont die. id u ride street u may not want to or u can just get a gyro so u dont get hit by a car, dont ride brakeless beacause u think its cool or everyone else does. plus riding brakeless ruins your shoes

Well my back has crap for brakes, so I took out the back brakes completely. My front brakes are crap too so I can barely stop, Usually feet can stop you, but not when going down hill.

Well if you are on the SAFE side and need to stop, like if your heading toward a big ditch or somthing car ect! get brakes! But i dont ride with brakes cause it gives me a free feeling when i ride down the high way for some reason and dont like to ajust then ! but thieire should be no real reason to not have them unless you dont want them =P

actually there isnt a single 20" racing sanction that will even allow you on the track (officially) without brakes, so good luck on that one
