New to the BMX scene: Picking up a Spec. 415 tomorrow

New to the scene, would like to experiment with this sport...so can't spend so much...especially since Im in college.

Picking it up tomorrow for $50. Deal or no deal. Just looking for something to start me off, and possibly try and do some tricks on. If it makes any difference I'm 5'5, 180lbs.

Only description he put in his classified...
"Bike is in amazing condition, comes with 4 pegs. Selling to make room for my new mountain bike. Tires and chain are both in very good condition and the bike is ready to ride! "

I guess what im asking, for the price will this do the job? Is it a good/decent bike?

that is a good deal as the bike looks to be in great shape and not used much. being an older bike the tires are probably a little dry rotted, maybe you could offer him 40 and he would probably take it. the bike is fine to get started with. you can always upgrade later as needed.

For $ 50 looks like a great bargain.
