bottom bracket question...

im looking to buy a new bike... i want to get either the mirra 540 or the new flair. the 540 has an amer. bb and the flair has a euro. i really want the flair but i dont know if euro's are good or not. i want to hear what you guys think about them because some1 told me that they are pretty weak.

week? Euro is awesome. Its smaller so lower profile and oyu wont be dinging it up all the time and its threaded, so the cups thread into, so they will definately be straight.. euro is great. Making it smaller I would think would only make it stronger.. I dont have euro, but I'de like it. Its up to you, but its not week.

Yes, it is slightly weaker than American BB but Euros are being intesively worked with by US companies and really are the forseeable future with BMX.

If you haven't had problems before with your American BB then you likely won't with a Euro either. Also, you save about 1/2 pound from your bike! There is a LOT of metal that goes into head tubes and bottom brackets. Head tubes got bigger because 1" sucked. But, bottom brackets are getting smaller and smaller.
