- I will continue to order from them, if and ONLY if www.flatlandfuel.com
doesn't have what I need. Dan's has great prices, often beating the competition and as long as you know exactly what you want, they will often have it and take care of you.
In 12 years of mail order, and web orders, they haven't screwed up once. Okay, once, but that's not a bad track record. Especially considering Trend and Albes both screwed me over really bad. You just have to watch out with Dan's because they really are clueless.
Oh, and bike shops that sell 'complete' bikes, usually ship them in the box that the manufacturer sends it to them in. They don't assemble it at all, the assembly that is done was done at the factory in Taiwan. So, when you get the bike, you do have to put a few things on, but then you also REALLY need to dial everything in, which is tough if you are clueless on bike maintenance. Easy if you know what you are doing though.
