lighter bike?

I dont think my other thread came up so ill type it again. I have a haro nyquist x3 and all together it weighs 37 pounds. I think it is to heavy for me because i can bairly 180 on it so should i get a new bike or new parts.( like a frame or new rims or whatever)

Second thing my breaks dont stop and i just got new tektro brakes but they suck. is there a way to fix them or should i get new breaks.. i heard that black rims make the breaks worse. is that true?

Odyssey Evovler and Dia-Compe 990 brakes are really good, chrome plated rims are the way to go for better braking, it works better on the pads or something

You dont need a light bike, you need to learn how to 180 and if you allready knew how then learn how to on that bike.. Just practice. Black rims dont make brakes suck, the brakes just dont work as well with them.. chrome is better.

run a strait cable, you don't need gyros. run as few of pegs as possible, if you do crookeds run only one peg on that side and both on the other. also buy some profile stuff, its really light and strong. think about getting a new frame like a fly pantera or something other than a haro, there too heavy, or just get used to your bike, whatever works for you.
