Rim sounds

i boght some hula hoops and i noticed when u spin them slow u can hear an odd sound the guy at the bike shop said when the rim was made pieces of metal fell into the rim he said it would be fine is that true ?

Yeah, I've heard that works...

What you do is take off your tire and tube, then remove the rim strip and put your wheel back on your bike.

Now start spinning it really fast and put your tongue on the inside of the rim so you are licking the nipples. In just a few spins the metal fragment will pop out and stick to your tongue.
