$$$$$$$$$

I have a 3/8 axle and i heard you grinding will mess up my axle or wheel or somthing like that. I didnt want to buy a new wheel so i decided i want to buy an axle converter. Does anyone know anywhere i can buy one online cuz theres no bike shops anywhere close to where i live. I checked Danscomp and Albes but neither seemed to carry them (preferably S&M).
Does anyone know where i can find one

Axle converters just allow 3/8" axles to fit into 14mm dropouts. They don't change the strength of the axle. 3/8" axles just aren't as strong as 14mm axles, so that is the problem when you are doing a lot of grinding.

Heck, even 14mm axles get messed up when you do a lot of grinding.

If you aren't up to getting a new 14mm hub, then the best option is to go to www.danscomp.com or one of the other mail order companies and order a quality 3/8" axle from Standard Industries or Kink. Those axles are (literally) 3-5 times as tough as 'normal' 3/8" axles that come stock on your bike.

You can't get a 14mm axle - you need a new hub - the list is long and you can expect to pay at least 50 bucks PLUS you have to rebuild the wheel.

Get a new hub/wheel... or learn how to change axles(what I did before I got a 1/2" wheel).

I have a flat axel in the front and I havn't had a problem with it. I wouldn't suggest one for the rear though.
