home made jumps are cool.me and my friends ride street all day.my one friend is on probation so we built a few ramps in his backyard. he has a garage with a flat roof, so we icepick it off a quarterpipe.we have a small kicker ramp and a flat ramp to land on. we just built a grind box and we took a rail and some coping from a construction site

Hear hear! Now as for the poll thing: In general I like home-made ramps the most, mainly because I can't drive so I don't have the ability to go to skate parks, and I don't have a job so I don't have any urban stuff to ride around on. I've never grinded in my life (something that I plan to work on) so I can't say that I like that or not. I've made probably about three structurually sound ramps (all different sizes) as well as a fun box, grind rail (that is low to the ground) and a dirt-jump doubles. Out of those ramps are two eight-inch high wedges that I mostly use for landing ramps, and one two foot high launch ramp. The fun box is a little low to the ground, but we made it in a set to go with the landing wedges. It's (the fun box) four feet long, three feet wide, and eight inches high (like I mentioned earlier). I have a lot of fun on them and have learned a lot of new things from all of that stuff. I'm currently trying to get higher air off of that two-footer, and since it's four feet wide and (I think) eight feet long then I can almost use it as a mini half pipe. So yeah, I'd have to say home-made ramps and such. |

I was agreeing with JMC that he has done nothing to that jerk and there was no call to say something like that. The saying "Hear! Hear!" means that that person is agreeing to whatever the other person said. |

I wish he would be banned, that attitude is not welcome here. But unfortunetly I haven't seen any evidence of any of the people owning these forums monitoring what people type, so I doubt he'll get banned. |
all of you should go on 20inchnyc.com . It's uncensored . I have an early photo of me on that website

I like riding in the skate park. Ours is free, they don't mind bikes, and helmets aren't a law.
Well, there's a sign that says bikes aren't allowed and you need to wear helmets and pads, but it's just part of the park, not a seperate place that's monitored or anything. Home made dirt jumps are pretty fun also. |
i really enjoy street and homemades

Yes, race track. You know, BMX? Racing?
I really wish that when "freestyle" had started, oh, sometime before most readers of this forum were born, they had not related it to BMX. I have nothing against it at all, it's just that the tricksters seem to forget the roots of the sport, which is racing. |

It wasn't very specific. And I think he just wanted those that are listed or else he would have put racing as an option. But I think that is because he doesn't race. |
Understood. I just find it odd to take a poll in a BMX forum about where you like to ride, and track is not listed as an option. Or trails for that matter.

Glad we got that cleared up. Sorry I didn't understand you. |
isnt track that thing where they ride in a circle with the bikes that have no brakes and you go backwards by pedaling back
|
Yes, you're right queens. BMX tracks and riding on them would probably be considered 'racing', not 'track'.

I ride street and Home Made Jumps...I sometimes like to go to the elementry school and ride there curbs and grind the rails and stuff....just the outside though because it is locked usualy.
