Is that brand new Aphex Twin? I hadn't heard that album title.

I think it was a limited 2-track thing that came out in 1995. I'll be honest and say I don't even know where I got it.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band "Will The Circle Be Unbroken - The Trilogy"

All three volumes of WTCBU on six CD's and one DVD. A seven hour encyclopedia of REAL American country music featuring great singing, banjos, fiddles, and acoustic guitars. All of the greats, from the 1930's to last week: Roy Acuff, Chet Atkins, Norman Black, the Carter Family, Mother Mabelle Carter, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, Alison Krauss, Willie Nelson, John Prine, Tony Rice, Earl Scruggs, Merle Travis, Doc Watson and about fifty other all-time greats.

Because most of the songs are variations on traditional acoustic Blue Grass, the set does not lend itself to seven straight hours of listening. As much as I like the Beatles' "Rubber Soul", I could not listen to it for seven hours non-stop.

So, I play a CD a day. It takes a week to get through the whole box, and then I will go back to Disc One, and start all over again. This set reminds me of how good country music can be when it comes from the heart (as opposed to that third rate junk that radio has been pawning off as country music for the past twenty years or so).

Mudhoney Rocks, I hardly ever hear of them these days. A DJ mentioned them last week and I sighed.
