Saw Karate Kid II with the kids last night. They liked it. Me, eh so-so 5/10. Liked the original better.

Jet Li's Fearless - 9/10

Yes, really, I gave it a 9. He says it's his last martial arts movie (apart from doing short scenes in action flicks like The Expendables, anyway). It's the story of Huo Yuanjia, the founder of what would become martial arts exhibitions and judged competitions.

Really quite interesting. The visuals range from spectacularly brutal fights to lushly gorgeous Chinese countryside. If you've got a big high-def setup, it was made for movies like this.

Dhoom2 6/10. If you liked Bad Boys but thought there was too much subtly and nuance, then Dhoom is for you.

Generous. Or did you intend to type "-2/10"?

Grownups 7/10 It was silly. I'm not usually an Adam Sandler or Rob Schneider fan, but it did have some laugh out loud moments.

Top Gear season 15 #4 - the one with the three-story motor home. Absolutely hilarious. 10/10

Fortunately, we were watching OnDemand so we could pause the thing, or we might have experienced terminal hyperventilation.

Okay, so it isn't technically a "movie". Watch it anyway.

I forget already, but isn't one of those in that series where Jeremy drove a Reliant Robin everywhere? My wife was absolutely cracking up every time it fell over.

Good Hair-7/10. A hilarious look at the lengths black women (and some men) will go to for "good hair."

My wife works at a beauty supply store just like some of those in Good Hair. It's crazy how far people will go to use hair that isn't theirs.

I agree. I saw it on a plane and was expecting it to suck, but it wasn't too bad. There were some scenes that really did feel like a bunch of old friends ragging on each other. Also, it has Salma Hayek, which is worth a point in itself.

Skyline - I'll give it half a point more than X-Files 2, so maybe 1.5 out of 10.

I don't think there was a single line of original dialogue in the entire movie. The special effects weren't special, either.

OSS 117 Cairo Nest of Spies 8/10. A kind of typical French spoof. Some very funny moments some clunkers, but one the whole enjoyable.

Due Date: 6/10. Amusing enough as long as you turn off the parts of your brain having to do with plot.

Saw Inception last night 7/10. Very entertaining. Although I think I'll have to see it again to catch half the dialogue that I missed.
