Moneyball - 5/5, or 9/10. Better than I expected, and I was already expecting it to be good.

Moneyball = 9/10. Love baseball and it did not disappoint.

Bridesmaids = 1/10. The wife made me watch this. It is 132 minutes of my life I will never get back.

Herzog's Cave of Forgotten Dreams gets a 5 from me. I can't stand 3D movies and IMO Herzog totally chunked the ending with that albino crocodile bit.

Harold and Kumar - the Christmas movie. 3/5

First - I hate the current "everything in 3D" fad, and wish it would die off. Second - if you thought the first one was funny, you'll likely be amused by this one. Third - while it is not necessary to have seen the first one, it would help a great deal to have viewed it before seeing this one (skip the second one, it was a horrible mess).

This third one was actually pretty funny. Fairly slow to start off, but once it got rolling hi-jinks ensued and it was good for more than a few solid sophomoric laughs. Also, this was actually the first time I really enjoyed the 3D - they used it to pretty good comedic effect.

Is it Shakespeare? No. Is it suitable for children? >GAACK< NO! Is it a date movie? Not very likely, unless you've scored a singularly unusual woman. But it is surprisingly funny...... or maybe not, depending on your tastes.

I liked it - maybe that says more than I want to reveal about me.

Hey, watch it on the not a date movie thing. It's the first movie my wife and I have seen in the theaters in a while (we have a 9 month old and snuck out of work in the afternoon while the daughter was at day care to watch a movie for her birthday and this looked like the most enjoyable one that would be best seen in a theater).

I thought it was funny and at least they tried to use the 3d for everything they could. My main problem was a Christmas movie released in the first week of November.

Hey - don't get me wrong. If your wife enjoyed it, I think you are a very lucky man.

I finally saw the Coen Bros "True Grit." I'd give it six stars. This version's Mattie with John Wayne's Rooster would be perfection. The Coen's ending made me want to read the book.
