So many things wrong with this movie that I have no idea where to start.
I saw this movie last Saturday. While I'd be slightly more generous than you, I didn't think too much of it either..... with the exception that the woman who played the daughter of the evil guy had a rockin' set of stems.

Lots of shooting, things blowing up, fights, usual CGI crap, etc......... but I still found myself looking at my watch more than a few times. that's not a good sign when you're watching an "action" movie.

Safety Not Guaranteed 7.7/10, not for everyone but I enjoyed it.

Robot n Frank - 7/10 Just so so but it had it's moments.

Arbitrage - 7/10 It was interesting even though there was little to no empathy for Richard Gere's protagonist.

So I'm guessing you don't think Rise of the Zombies is rental-worthy.

She did have a rocking set of 'stems" (or whatever else they are called now).

    she is also extremely bright.

[From IMDB] At age 15 she was awarded the prestigious title of Candidate of Chess Master by International Chess Federation. She was planning to have a professional chess player career but instead made a decision to continue her education and moved to Moscow on her own where she was accepted to State Pedagogical University. Yulia had to study and work at the same time to support herself financially. She was teaching English in the nursery school, when a friend showed photos of Yulia to a representative of one of the most prestigious Moscow modeling agency.

The movie was less than 90 minutes long, yet it seemed to last forever.

I saw DARK SKIES. I thought it was pretty good, I gave it a 7/10.

I also saw SIDE EFFECTS. That was a really good movie, in a Hitchcock sort of way. I gave it a 8/10. The actress, Mara Rooney (from the American version of The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo) was extraordinarily good.

Just so we're clear - "stems" = legs. Gams. Wheels. Pins.

I watch too many old B/W gangster and detective movies, I guess.

Red Dawn the remake - 2/10

    Hit & Run (AGAIN!) - 7/10

Promethius (sp?) 3D - The effects were stunning but the movie ehhh.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter 3D - Same as above

We finally broke down and bought two pairs of 3D glasses for our 3D TV so we had to rent some 3D movies to check it out. I have to say it's pretty amazing.

Killer Joe 9/10 and Headhunter 8.5/10. 2 great movies, 2 nights in a row. Headhunter was Norwegian with subtitles just to give fair warning.

    Skyfall - about the same.
Punctuation is important. It's the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse" and "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse"

    Spring Breakers 1/10.

I gave it the "1" because the scene at the piano made me laugh out loud - although I don't think that was the intent.

A shockingly bad movie, from end to end. Astoundingly so.

At first I thought it was a joke........ but it wasn't. This movie was beyond bad. There really isn't anything good to say about it. Stupid script, bizarre cinematography, poor acting, stupid characters making incomprehensibly bad decisions.

I got two take-a ways from this movie:

    1) Apparently, there are no admissions standards for colleges - they will accept any idiot that applies.

    2) Young women today are hyper-sexual, incapable of making good decisions, and easily taken advantage of.

How this actually made it past the idea stage is a wonder, and speaks volumes about the state of the entertainment industry.

This one is a must-miss. Save your money, and don't waste your time.
