I liked "Log From The Sea Of Cortez" by John Steinbeck and "Miles From Nowhere" by Dayton Duncan. Also "Trawler" by Redmond O'Hanlon.

I like Bill Bryson. Reading "A Walk in the Woods" and "The Lost Continent". A good portion of his books are travel based and quite humorous.
