Good move on the Portland date. Far less chance of freezing cold rain then.

Thanks for posting these...it looks like Portland will be the most comfortable ride temp-wise...this is something I've been wanting to do for awhile.

I plan on doing Philly as well. I'm going to make that my first century so I would love to know if the route has changed. My guess is the route will be posted after the new year when registration opens.

From what I understand the route for philly will be generally the same, but I'm not 100% positive. It was a tough ride for sure... I'd love to tackle it again.
Registration is in January for the rides as per the email I received.
EDIT: In '07, registration opened up in late January, but the route wasn't posted until the summer time. Very hilly (8,000 ft of elevation). There's some ride reviews of last year's Philly ride at the end of this thread:

If it is like the last couple of years, they won't release information on the route until shortly before the ride. I will be riding this year, and it may be my first century (if I don't do one before then). Last year I ended up going out of town, so didn't ride, and rode a short route the year before.

I wonder why they haven't listed a city for California yet. The Bay Area is a large area.

They did an Orange County one in 2006, but last year they scaled down to just the 3 (down from 5, I think Denver was the other one they also had). From what I understand it was too much to organize all 5.

I am going to be signing up for the Austin ride again. Can not wait! The exact routes won't be published until summer sometime. Austin was a blast last year. I see it is two days not one so I am gathering they are going to have another 5k the day before. The ride was pretty tough last year compared to years past since it was in the hill country this past year. Can not wait.

This is not 100% yet, but the general route for the 2008 Philadelphia LSC will be the same as last year. There will undoubtedly be some small changes because of some road hazards this year, but start/finish at MontCo and then up into the country worked beautifully for everyone involved. I cannot see a huge change for next year, and if anything else it will be even better!
