Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Considering how slow and such my ride will be, as well as likely short, you'll all be riding as you choose. Last year there were a couple of TS pacelines going though, so you'll have company, guaranteed. Trekden is a great guy to ride with, as is 10 wheels (especially if you want some distance!). 10 wheels is a monster on a bike and could probably compete in Criteriums if he so chose in the Masters Class at least.

Looks like there's a few hotels moderately priced around the airport,Tom. A shame there is nothing actually closer to the track.

know, the Airport seems to be as close as I can get for a decent, secure motel so far. There are a couple closer, but I wouldn't put up a prisoner in them.

Haha.. I already edged him on. But he doesn't like to ride in pacelines. Darn.

Frankly, the way he rides, and distances, I'm not going to be surprised if he does RAAM at 90, and wins it!

I'm staying at The Comfort Inn North at The Pyramids if anybody else is interested. I'm just planning on driving to meet the gang for dinners and such. Plus it will be nice to have my car to put things in while at the track. Sunscreen, shirts, etc...

Spent One Night Here. They don't have ICE.

Met Ken Payten as he arrives in Marfa TX (74 miles) from Van Horn TX

Well, I'm actually looking into the La Quinta at the airport. May change my mind after some more research tonight. Plus, I've got a rental set of Zipp 808's reserved for that weekend. We may try to check out their factory on Friday if we get in town soon enough. I'm planning on turning this into a giant time trial - shooting for around four hours total, if I can keep the speed up.

Well, there's a fishing show in town the same weekend, and group stuff has been impossible to book. I'll be emailing the whole team my cell phone number, though, and will likely be driving in from Lafayette myself, as it stands now. It's only a 50 minute drive for me, and the group prices I've been able to find don't beat the standard rates any. Sorry all!

Scummer is going for a Sub 5 Hours.
Try to hang with him.

I am pacing at 17 mph.
You can draft (rest) behind me when you get tired.

You need to know that it is 10% bike, 90% motor.
How is your motor?

Motor is doing great! Much better shape than last year. May need an oil change soon! Smoke free so not as many breaks, too. Is Bev coming this year, too? Can't remember seeing any posts whether she is or not.

My theory is 10% bike, 100% heart. This time, it's personal!

Good luck on your TdC Team Stormcrowe! The Redmond ride is a done deal and it was awesome! Amazing scenery and monster hills! Clifton CK1 asked if I was coming back over for the 7 hills of Kirkland he cracks me up! Maybe next year!

Have fun!
