Please help me help other. Riding in the Pan Mass Challenge.
Hello Everyone,
Some of you know me and I'm sure a lot of you don't. Over the past two years I've become a very avid road and mtn bike rider and I've received a lot of help from this forum. The reason for this post is to ask each of you for just a little of your time and help.
This year I will be riding in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. I've had family members and friends who have had cancer and most were able to beat it. Unfortunately though, a couple were diagnosed to late and lost their lives because of it. At the time there wasn't much I could do to help and I remember wishing at the time that someone would develop a cure. While there's nothing I could do at the time, there is something that I can do to help others develop a cure. So this year I have decided to join the PMC ride from Sturbridge, Ma to Provincetown, MA and have set a tough fundraising goal of $7000. For those that don't know, this is a tough 200 mile two day ride.
I know some may think this is a scam and what proof is there that I'm not just going to pocket the money. To put everyone's mind at easy I will not be collecting money personally. All tax deductible donations will be made via an EGift donation on an official PMC donations page. 100% of all biker donations are given to the charity. Last year the PMC raised $35 Million and I hope we can reach that goal this year. The internet address to donate is as follows:
https://www.pmc.org/mypmc/profiles.as...eGiftID=TD0108
Once you donate, please email me at Rockrivr1@aol.com to let me know so I can match you up against the donation list I get sent.
To achieve this fundraising goal, I am reaching out to friends, family, co-workers, organizations I'm affiliated with and forums I belong to. No donation is to small. $1, $5, etc' will be greatlyt appreciated. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your time.
Troy
