Bike across the country with Ride for World Health
Interested in global health advocacy? Enjoy cycling? Take part in an unparalleled experience in activism, leadership, and adventure.
Founded by OSU medical students in 2004, Ride for World Health boasts over 100 alumni from varied backgrounds all across the world. Each year, our Coast-to-Coast lecture series initiates meaningful dialogue throughout communities along our 3,700 mile journey. We have raised over $600,000 since our inception to support non-profit organizations consistent with our vision.
Apply for the 2011 team to ride with us in April and May of 2011. Can’t devote two months to the ride? We also welcome portion riders who can ride with us from 1 day to 1 month. You can also organize or join an existing solidarity ride in your city to support our team. For more information, visit www.rideforworldhealth.org or contact us at R4WH.recruitment@gmail.com. Deadline for national rider applications is September 1.
PS: are you a health profession student? In past years, most medical and public health schools have allowed Ride for World Health to count as one month of elective credit, making the ride more feasible for current students. We are willing to work with our team riders and their schools to help them get credit toward their degree.
