2011 Bridge to Ridge

May 14th is the date set for the annual Bridge to Ridge metric century. This ride benifits the Winfield Lions Club. This ride goes along some of the nicest ridges in western West Virginia. This will be a challenging course. I ill post more info in the near future. There is also a 30+ mile ride that is also challeging.

Bridge to Ridge 2011

There will be two rides, a 30 miler and a metric century, although I got 59 mmiles on my GPS. The metric covers some of the best ridge riding in westernWest Virginia. The ride has 5500 feet of climbing with no climb over a mile long. I counted six stop signs on the entire route. I will post the profile if I can.

The course is marked, tee shirts ready, cue sheet and map just about ready, and one week to go. The metric, actually 59 miles, has a lot of climbing the first half. for every mile I got around 100 feet of climbing the first 35 miles. No climb over a mile long and the profile looks like a saw blade. If you live near WV come on out and participate. All proceeds go to the Winfield Lions Club.
