Asharx, I remember your post last year. I'm ALSO going to the Ottawa MS Bike Tour and haven't met the minimum yet or had any other team members join; I'm not impressed at this point.

If you want to train or do a trade donation ($X to me then I'll match $X to you). Let me know, pm if you want to setup training or meet-ups for the actual event. I don't remember, did you do the full 180 last year?

Hey, I remember your post last year as well. I did the 145km last year. I am planning on doing the full 180km this year.

I have a 2 year old at home so I can't really put any more time into riding than I already am right now. I joined the KNBC club this year, so I am doing their Wed night rides. Then I bike commute to work 20km per day, then the extra 40 - 50km on wed nights.

I'll do a donation trade for sure ($25), PM me with where to send the money.

    Glenn

The ride was great! 600+ riders, more than 450,000 dollars raised so far (pledges can be recieved up until Sept 4th).

For me this tour will be for ever know as my broken spoke tour though.... Day 1, km77 I caught two ladies going up a hill, when I stood on the pedals to pass I hear a 'PING'. My wheel immedtiately is wobbly so I pulled over. Broken spoke, I tried to do a temporary fix by loosening the spokes on the opposite side, but I ended up walking for a few km (day 1 was only 80km). The repair truck caught up with me when I had about 1km to go, and replaced the spoke and quickly trued my wheel. I was off rididng again.

Day 2, km50 of 65 I hear another ping... This time I did a better job at a quick true and gingerly rode the rest of the way. Needless to say my wheel is in the shop getting relaced with all new spokes right now.
