Racing to Give in 2014? Kona Slot Up for Grabs
Have you, a family member or a friend been affected by Melanoma?
Are you interested in combining philanthropy and triathlon to race in the Ironman World Championships in Kona in 2014?
Now is your last chance!
TWO MONTHS TO GO WIN A FREE ENTRY TO IRONMAN® WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN KONA, 2014 BY RAISING MONEY FOR THE MELANOMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION
Any Ironman Triathlete raising money for MRF’s Miles for Melanoma program in the calendar year 2013 will be eligible for a free, guaranteed entry to Ironman World Championship in Kona, October 2014!
Eligible contestants are triathletes who
1. Register to raise money for Miles for Melanoma through the IM Triathlete program.
2. Raise a minimum of $10,000
3. Complete their fundraising by midnight, December 31, 2013.
Free entry will be awarded to the athlete with the most funds raised by the deadline.
Free entry will be assigned to the person of the fundraising athlete’s choice. Once designated it is non-transferable.
MRF will communicate with the athlete and Ironman to finalize entry processes. Once entry has been secured and confirmed through Ironman, MRF will hold no more responsibility for the entry to Kona.
All travel and expenses will be the responsibility of the athlete. Should the athlete choose to commit to a new fundraising goal to support MRF in the Kona 2014 race, negotiations can be made regarding travel and expenses.
You may compete in any IM race around the world in 2013, any distance.
You must sign up for our fundraising competition by joining our Miles for Melanoma Team in 2013.
When the final fundraising is completed, MRF will notify the top fundraiser of his/her entry to Kona.
MRF will build and update an FAQ list as needed if any questions need to be addressed throughout the contest. MRF may copy your question and post it on our web page to best clarify any issues. Names will be withheld. FAQ’s will be posted on this page.
MRF decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the contest shall be final and binding in all respects. The MRF will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these contest rules or in other materials relating to the contest.
