In celebration of the Olympics moving from London to Rio, myself and a team of 3 others (4th to be decided as unfortunately one team member dropped out) will be attempting to follow the Olympic journey using human power alone, with a combination of rowing and cycling.
Anyways, I thought I would ask a few questions...
1) If anyone is interested in joining our team, please let me know
2) If you wish to follow our journey, we are going to be regularly updating social media and blogging etc
3) If anyone wishes to become part of it with any sponsorship or any donations, also let me know!
Shameless plug over, we will be raising money for and awareness for MacMillan Cancer Support doing this, and have partnered up with them as they have done so many good things for my family and others over the recent years.
If you do want to check it out, Row2Rio 2016 is the site, and it has all of our social media and contact details on it if you wish to follow our Facebook page etc...
I hope you have all been keeping well, and will no doubt see some of you soon!
Great stuff! I train at the Oklahoma City National High Performance Center - its an Olympictraining facility dedicated to rowing, kayak and canoe. I participated in their Row To London campaign 2 years back (wow- time flies).
I will be following your group online ! I am not very good on the water, but i log thousands of metres on the Concept 2 weekly. I love the motion and have always felt rowing was complimentary to my cycling
Focus Black Forrest 3.0 2013, Caloi Sprint 2010, Caloi ????
I'm an American living in Olinda, Brazil, an enthusiastic cyclist and was thinking of taking up rowing. My city is on your route and I have friends in other cities along it. Some of my friends have ridden similar routes (Sao Luis - Recife and Olinda - Maceio) so if you think I could be of assistance let me know.
