76 Centurion?

Went to sheldon's and as far as I can tell, 70s Centurions are hard to date without components on them. I just picked up this frame at a swap for $10! I have a 70s Super LeMans, and just sold a 76 Pro Tour, and now fixing up this one. Rear end is chromed like the others, but the ID stamp is on the seat tube near the BB. Serial # 6H3709. Was Silver, going to be light metallic blue, or maybe I get crazy and go hot rod purple? Anyways, looking forward to getting it sprayed out soon! Any thoughts are appreciated, cheers!

Hi Jon - Mid '70's LeMans? I'm not an authority, but I don't think it is either the Pro-Tour or Semi-Pro. Don't remember seeing them with a serial number stamped on the side of the seat tube like that. Someone with more knowledge should be along shortly....

Sorry, can't help you here.

I do have a question though. What kind of setup do you have going to paint? are you using a compressor and airgun? I have a bike I wanted to experiment with painting on, but am worried about the quality of the finished product.

Seat post size? May be a Super Elite. Chrome stays are always a good sign.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
