Need help identifying
So I just got this off off of CL. I always wanted a fixed gear bike and the price just seemed right for this one. I will not be selling this one. The owner told me her BF sanded down the frame and painted it so she has no clue as to what kind of frame it is. It's not too light and not too heavy. It's a little heavier than my specialized allez 2004 model with carbon forks.
What I can see is that the handle bars are made by ZOOM. The wheel set is made by Joytech. Has a vittoria randonneur tire in the front. Not sure what kind of tire in the back. I only paid 70.00. Also has a bunch of lights on it. I wonder will I ever be able to tell what kind of frame this is. To be honest I really like the way it rides. I kind of like the hybrid tires too. Did I get a good deal? They also added one hand break that stops the back wheel.
Let me know what you all think.
I also included a my daily driver bike
thanks

As for get a good ID on this bike it is unlikely it is pretty generic TIG welded frame likely made in Taiwain. my quess is based on components it is something sold through Bikes Direct in the past 5 years or so. these sell for around $200 new so $70 used is a very fair price if everything works good.

I agree the odds of identifying this bike are slim to none. Things like brand of handlebar, hubs (joytech makes hubs I am not sure if they build complete wheels), and tire have no bearing on the brand of a bike.
Som better pics may help but I think you better off going to the bikes direct sight and compare things like the crank and brake caliper brand and model to the FG bikes there. I suspect it is a Kilo TT

Not a Kilo, a Kilo has a curved blade fork. Doesn't look like a Bikes Direct Mercier at all to me. Or any of the Bikes Direct brands, for that matter.
It will probably be tough to ID.

I think the frame is a Walmart Thruster Fixie.
Same frame size, long chain stays, fork, positioning of the braze-ons for the brake cable, saddle, seatpost.
Other parts have been upgraded.

Most likely. I think those are only $99 new. Pretty much the lowest of low quality available.
