Vintage Hercules Alassio

12 speed. Not yet seen in person. Looks much like this bike, https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...efurb-pic.html except for color. Picture shows bike to be in decent to good condition.

Asking $165 I did look around the net and did not see anything for this bike.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

Can't tell you much without photos of the actual bike in question.

I'm not sure what the market is like near you, but that would be an ok price for that bike here. It looks to be in decent shape with all of its bells and whistles still attached. It's kind of ugly, IMO, and there's nothing really special about it. You could probably do better for the money, but if you like it, I don't think you'd be getting ripped off.

Just looked at her. Complete down to the German owners manuel. Original tires, no dry rot, little rust. Lights, lock work. Different 12 speed set up. Internal 2 speed rear hub with six speed Sachs Commander deraileuer. Concerns are plastic chain guard is cracked. May need to be painted. Plastic shifters.

If you like this style of bike, get it. That bike doesn't need to be painted.

It is an ok price.

I used to ride my grandmother's ladies version of this bike when I would visit her in Germany.

I agree, decent price.
