value of used chris king hub
whats up,
This isnt about a classic or vintage bike but its still the best place I found to ask so hopefully someone will be able to help out?
I was offered a used chris king single speed rear hub, 130mm road spacing, 32 nole, non disc. Just the hub, no lockring, cog or spacers. In good working condition but well used, might need a rebuild and possibly a new driveshell.
How much would you pay for this? The guy asks for 90 GBP which is about 135 USD. Is this a good price?
Thanks guys,

Find out which parts you need, then contact Evolution (via your LBS who has an account with them) to get prices for what's needed, then compare this with the cost of buying a complete new hub which includes warranty, then make a decision.

If it needs new bearings and a new driveshell you are better off buying a new hub. You'll pay just about the same amount.

Have 40,000+ miles on our CK hubs on our tandem. Still running smoothly!
Depending on mileage a bit under hundred US $ should be OK.
