Atala value? I'm not sure of the model.

I don't know Atala, but Google results lead me to believe it is a decent Italian bike.
Shifters and brakes seem questionable, but again, I don't know the brand well.

Thank you in advance! Might pick it up today pending responses. Goal would be fix up, try it, sell if I don't like.
atala. great frame.

Shifters and brakes seem questionable? I don't see any shifters or brakes, other than that MTB lever clapped onto the handlebars controlling the rear brake.

Do you have the time/tools/aptitude/pile of parts needed to bring this bike back to life? If so, maybe its a deal. If you have to buy all the parts, and pay someone to install them, forget it.

This bike is a HUGE project. To a resourceful person, decent deal. Make sure seat post and stem are not stuck.

Worry less about brand, and more about where you are going to find the missing parts. Retail, you could drop $200 to $300 into the missing parts, plus $200 worth of labor to install them.

Weight can be somewhat misleading, as it is missing some parts.

This bike is a basket case. I'm always skeptical of bikes that come as basket cases because who knows what else is wrong with the bike. It might be OK, it likely is not. In any case, $100 is too high given what needs to be done to the bike to get it rideable unless (a) you know what you're doing (and even then it's a marginal project) or (b) this really is a high end bike disguised as a basket case. I suspect neither (a) nor (b) is true.

Thank you both.
I actually do have both 600 aero and non aero brakes from a different project. (I've got about eight bikes in various stages of restoration at the moment).
I just don't know the brand. What series should I be on the lookout for if I go take a look? Obviously looking for Columbus tubing, etc.
I'll definitely offer WAY less than $100 and see if I can take it home. I'm always getting random parts, so it would eventually be a complete bike.

ETA I guess I will see what wheels they are and let that help my decision. I can always sell the rims/hubs if they're worth a crap. Yesterday I grabbed a Schwinn that just so happened to have Campy hubs laced to MA40s... might borrow those.

no derailleur hanger, and the top tube guides mean it's not a track bike. case closed (for me).

Wow, couldn't see that. I asked for more pictures just for fun. Assuming it has no hanger, you're right!

Poor frame has been touched by a hipster who thought he was a mechanic. All too common these days.

I texted that guy 34 minutes after it was posted and haven't heard from him yet. Not interested anymore though, I got the Univega parts bike in Mesquite that was listed for $100 for $30.

Nice. I have a guy's number that's selling 3-4 bikes including a red Univega. PM me if interested in it for parts. I don't know him, he responded to a CL ad I had up.

Not sure, doesn't look tiny, but not large.

the Atala guy posted more pics. It has the derailleur hanger, but not components (obviously). Looks like incorrect crank too.

No brainer at $50, would have to think about it at $100. Your choice.

Realize a lazy/slow to respond seller is typically slow to respond to everybody. It can make for a better deal as most buyers just give up. I bought a bike once when the seller responded THREE WEEKS later.. Great deal.

I would try to get the price down as low as you can on that one. Thats a start at $35 and stop at about $50 for me.
