1990 miyata nine14 se

I have gotten my hands on a perfect 1 ownder miyata.
shimano 600 components.
wolber rims, with michelin axiel pro wheels, look clipless pedals, selle italia flite seat and even a giro ionos helmet.
All perfect and in working condition owned by a guy who bought it new when it came out and never rode it.
Fastest bike I'VE ever ridden really.
I got it for a 100.
was wondering what it's worth if I got a good deal or if I came out alright.
I don't have pictures of it right now but will try to get one asap.

awesome, I thought I did but wanted to make sure.
The man's sister sold it to me due to him passing last year from a heart attack.
So she really didn't know what she had and didn't want to keep them cauyse it just brung back memories.
She was wanting to throw in a yellow carbon fiber kestrel and a car rack for like 800.
But I didn't have the money.
But she said it'll be waiting for me if I ever want it.

You could sell it for $300? $400?
Somewhere in there, depending on size, demand at the time, and location.

...I would think it would sell on the higher side of those numbers, given the apparent condition.

I do not think it would go that high...but you could definitely double your money quite easily...and maybe a bit more...you did very good...

You definitely did well. But if you want an appraisal you'll have to post some good pictures.

A beauty, with almost everyones favorite component group! Guess though you need to learn a wee bit about French fit. A frame for 5'5" and under riders and you must be 6'2"?

No I know, the lady said it was a 58cm and when I got all the way out there (over an hour drive and seeing the price was great) I didn't want to go home empty handed So I bought it.
That's kind of why I wanted to know what its worth so I can trade for something a bit bigger at the same level.
I don't want to down grade.
I'm actually dead on 6'2 lol.

Nice bike, great score. I think you could easily sell it as-is for $200-250. More than that is probably stretching it. Plenty of scratches on the components (or is that just dirt?) will hold down the value. In the pictures you posted it looks well used.

Thank you.
I think its dust and dirt, it was in her basement.
I haven't washed it yet so it could be while I've ridden in the park and her basement.
But I'll try to give it a nice bath and see if the blemishes go away or stay.

Nice eyes, honestly I still pull them at about 18-20 mph on good streets with good concrete.
Some streets about 15 cause we have a lot of cracks and holes in the road.

Miyatas sell pretty well where I live. I have moved several 9xx with STB tubes and a dozen or so slightly lesser models. The 9xx models had pretty good paint and polished up nicely. If I had found a 58cm 9xx I would be riding it. If the OP's bike was really cleaned up with all new consumables probably $300 here. It would need to be a couple years newer with 8 speed brifters to get more IMO.

As I recall the STB frame is not all that light but feels super solid. I would love to get a hold of a Team Miyata. A 914 with 105 and I think a '92 with 8 speed 600 Tri-color.

I think im going to trade it for something equally nice.
The bike may not be that light but at 220 its light to me.
Those are absolutely beautiful.
