1993 Specialized Allez
"All original, apart from the cloth tape and saddle."
What's a fair price for this? I saw another thread about a similar bike, but as I'm a bike noob I'm not sure how much of that applies here.
I'm in SF, in case that affects your answer.

i saw that on SF CL and its probably a bit high.. nice bikes, I had one myself- I sold mine for ~200 if that gives you an idea, about 6 years ago and it was in the same or better shape (but had a ding in the rear wheel) . but I probably sold it too cheap.. but I made the guy happy and he rode off with a smile so whats a few bucks either way right?
is that the right size for you? I am in SF and can keep an eye out for good deals if you want. Like id probably go get this Lotus ... Oh crap, its gone from CL. anyway, it was a Lotus with nice tubing and components for $200. great deal, and gone already. half the price of that specialized and probably better.

That's very helpful info; thanks.
And I'd definitely appreciate getting pointers to good buys on CL, if you have the inclination. That Allez should be about the right size for me, since I'm 6'0" with a 32" inseam (if I measured my insteam correctly).

You might find that bike a little tall for you.
With a 32" inseam (is that bicycle inseam or pants?) you would probably fit better on a 56 or 58cm frame with maybe a longer handlebar stem. Looks like the bike in the photo is at least a 58 (33" standover), and maybe a 60cm (34" standover).
It has has downtube shifters, so I'd say no more than $250-$300 depending on the condition (and the group), after you determine that it does fit you.
