I googled it to get some info. Mid 80's Italian made. Masi pioneered the idea of internally lugged frame. Tubes are slightly oversized and the lugs are like sleeves. Silver brazed. Top notch racing bike of the 80's. Frame alone sold in the $1000 range.

Nice purchase. Enjoy your new ride!

I think you are correct, probably stolen. Pretty bike, though.

Third tier Campagnolo on a top tier frame.
Sold at a vengeful spouse value price.
Sticker behind chain rings probably hiding serious chain suck scratches.
Chrome foil chainstay protectors were never a good idea. Could be recreated.
Sold by Masi USA, possible clue as to where built by bottom bracket size and serial numbers.
Either USA built or contract Italian built, but not built by Masi of the Vigorelli.

Does it fit? If it doesn't fit it is not a good deal unless you only bought it to try and flip it to make money off of it.

Well, it's up for sale for $595, five hours after the original seller's ad was posted. That's a quick turnaround! Your photos are a little bit better, though.

I was wondering about the components. RD is Chorus? I can't figure out what the cranks and Ergos are.

That RD looks ,ike it is painted or powder coated, so maybe Stratos or early Mirage? Same for the cranks actually.

Those parts smell like Veloce to me. Plastic levers behind the brake levers. I think 105 was better. I'm thinking our "flipper friend" is asking more than I would consider. Although at 300.00 you can't go wrong, unless of course, there is frame damage etc.

yeah it actually fits well, but i have too many bikes already.

i really don't think it was stolen. it was sold out of a garage in well-to-do suburbs.

people in utah just don't know much about their roadbikes, in many cases. the same was always sometimes true in northern CA, but a lot less often.

and yeah, no idea about the components. there are no markings whatsoever...

Why are the photos so grainy and low resolution?

Nice pickup OP. I'm sure the sale was legit.

I would do a partout if selling, but that's just me.

yeah that seems smart. i've never sold on ebay, but this frame seems worth making an exception for perhaps.

Very nice pickup...I particularly like the metallic green color on this one!

As for selling, yep, part out would be the way to go...
