Raleigh Lenton Sports
I bought this bike today from a guy that was having a yard sale. He said he got it from a unit he bought at a storage auction so this bike has probably been in storage for a while. Seems to have everything original except for maybe the headlight and the pedals but the original pedals were included in the purchase. Any help on the year of the bike and value would be very appreciated.

The bars are not original and totally wrong for the bike it should have upright bars the current brake levers and shifter won't work right on those drop bars.

I hope you don't mind me asking how much you pay?

Whoa, that's a gem. Not up on my Lentons but early 60's would be in there. So cool. The bag alone is worth a good bit. Bike and bag, some hipster would go ape over this rig. So would I. $400 range maybe.

This is totally incorrect. The Lenton Sports is a drop bar "Clubman" type bike. I believe they generally came with those levers, which work fine.

I have actually never seen one of these in great condition like this. I don't really have any idea what it's worth... Personally I would probably be willing to spend $400 plus on it. That's not including the bag which should be worth at least $50 or maybe more on its own.

I quess the high positioning of the levers and raised stem though me off. but that is easily corrected with a few adjustments would agree on the value being $400-500 maybe more to the right buyer with the extra's bag and lights if there all good.

Thank you very much for all the comments! Now I have a better idea of what I have. I am sorry I cannot post the price I paid but it is because I plan to sell it soon.
I put some air in the tires earlier today and when I got back from work I took it out for a little ride. This bike caught several peoples attention as I rode by.

I am not an enthusiast for these but I have to say this one looks in terrific shape.
$450 e-z based on what I have seen in the reasonably recent past.
A well preserved original finish is really really rare.

Retro Raleighs: The Raleigh Lentons by Peter C. Kohler
...little known esoteric factoid is they apparently only sold the orange ones in one particular model year, 1952.

MINE ALL MINE!!!!
It showed up today...thanks @Danos and...guess what? It is even better than the pictures!!!! I am working through a couple of "putting it back together" issues...as I have never worked on this particular type of bike...but...wow!!!!! I am very happy...
Scott (@Flog00 )... there is really nothing to restore/refurbish...it is in VERY good condition! Even the BB seems to run pretty smooth!
Wow...I am super excited about this one...
Couple of things...I might need some help on getting the rear wheel in place again...never worked with a SA IGH before...and it seems "different"...and wow...the wheels are SUPER heavy weight! This will NOT be a bike for any steep hills!
Been an interesting bike acquirement week for me...
1982 Colnago Super - great find that I am loving!
1952 Raleigh Lenton Sports Clubman - another that I think I am going to love
But...can you say DIVERSITY????
Just tickled...in case none of you can tell...

Wow, lucky! Congrats!
I would probably repack the bearings no matter how smooth they feel...who knows when they were last done

Yes repack the bearings and change the oil in the IGH. Based on how clean and original the bike looks there likely 30-40 years old these nicer older Ralieghs had great bearings and BB's so they often turn feel smooth even if the grease is rock hard.

Glad you got it Duane, now some pictures side by side with the Royal.
It would be really cool to see all the Raleigh's together.

What's the date on the hub? I'm guessing mid 60's?
