1961 Raleigh Suberbe what is a reasonable price

I have the opportunity to buy this bike. All looks original except all the pictures I have seen of 1961s have straight handle bars. (so are these original) I would say bike is in excellent condition and the pictures are before any attempt to clean. So what would be a fair offer for this bike?

Thanks, Bryan

It depends a bit on where you are. I think here in NYC that's a $250 bike, but in more rural areas I think it's more like a $150 bike or so. If he offered it to you for $50, give him $100 and both be happy.

+1 Ditto.

Any less than $100 and it's stealing! Enjoy.

I concur. Personally, I would not be outraged to have someone ask $250 for it. A little more than I would want to pay, but cosmetically, at least, that is an excellent specimen, and I could see it going for that much to the right buyer.
