Guess the title of the thread was confusing.

Tubing appears to be Columbus SLX but the condition of the paint and components is a little rough so I would say about $600, perhaps more if you are in a large city.

Huh, the paint and such looked in pretty good shape to me but I'm not one to argue. Any idea on model ?

The bikes being shipped so I don't have the ability to add more photos at the moment. I'll post photos of the headtube, etc when it arrives.

It's a done deal if its being shipped, so it really doesn't matter if you overpaid or not, just go and enjoy a nice looking bike.

Apparently people are missing the IDENTIFY portion of this thread and are only focusing on the value aspect.

1989 Mondaile or Giro would be my guess. but I am no expert on bianchi. since the faded writing looks longer than "giro" i'd say its a mondaile. I am calling 1989 just for fun because the Pinarello quill would be from around that year.

This sub-forum is primarily used for valuations and inquiries about valuations. You'd get better responses in the C&V general forum about an identification. And you did say you wanted to be sure you did not overpay. And thats a question that can easily lead to angst.

Not a Mondial. The Mondial would have a right chrome chain stay.
"Really appreciate your help there buddy." - Were you being rude?
Q: "Would like to make sure I didn't vastly overpay."
A: How much did you pay?
I'm going with Giro, about 450-680

Looked at this catalog and wasn't able to definitively determine which one it would be?
From what I've seen online it looks like an 89 Giro?

If you are looking to just flip it and get the max, Jet, who reads a lot of CL ads, is a pretty good judge. He has said $600.
It is a Columbus framed Celeste Bianchi from the late 80s with Campagnolo drivetrain. That narrows it down. Once you get it you can determine exactly by determining which frame material and which model derailleurs.
Even if it needs work, you certainly got a steal for $99.

It's definitely a keeper, I've been wanting a nicer vintage Bianchi for a while. Just looking for information on the bike, no ulterior motives. Since everyone's super interested in the price of the bike, $99 did not buy the bike. If you look at the listing it's not even listed as a bike, and the shipping is no where near correct. The bike was $475+shipping once the eBay invoice was finished. Wasn't aware of the model, but i've wanted a nice Columbus Bianchi in Celeste so figured I would research after purchase.
