Lejeune touring: Reasonable price?
Looking for an inexpensive road bike to improve my commuting fleet. Was corresponding with a guy about the rig pictured here. Not too familiar with Lejeune bikes (although my mother used to have a peugeot I liked to ride when I was a kid). Is $150 a reasonable deal for this bike? I see some newer second hand stuff in this range. Anybody who knows more than me have an opinion?

Fair price if everything is ready to ride and it is your size.
When you go in person and find something wrong, make a lower offer.

Very reasonable. The gold simplex rd is worth something to someone trying to assemble a gold spidel group.

Yep the rear derailleur is pretty sweet. Also this is a good quality frame as it has forged drop outs. Back in the day, that usually meant a nicer frame (maybe reynolds tubing for the main triangle or better).
Those pics are awful so it's hard to tell much about the bike. Those look to be pretty decent alloy wheels. The leather saddle is worth something. I'd buy this bike if it were in my size at this price. It is at least a decent deal and it may be a very good deal depending on the quality of the frame and parts.

That is a higher end model. If nothing is wrong with the frame and fork on inspection I'd say most excellent buy.

That derailer is selling for almost the price of the bike on eBay right now, and it looks like those may be retrofriction levers, also valuable. I'd snag it with a quickness.

Yes! Go get it. Seller doesn't know what they have. Sell off the fancy parts (that you'd destroy commuting) and you'll have yourself a free bike.

Looks decent but all I am really sure of is the rear derailleur and forged drops. If the chain stay end was scalloped and not domed, then I would be excited but it still looks to be a nice frame. Probably Stronglight 93 cranks. As others have pointed out, the rear derailleur is possibly worth the $150. If it fits, got buy it.

I would say yes it is a good buy and would make a very nice commuter. As others have said the gold simplex shift group is selling for more than the asking price of the bike.
