What are the jc Higgins bikes?

I saw these at swap meet for $100 for both. Is that a good deal? Or are these more or less worthless old bikes?

Do these have any good resale value if restored?

I did not see any model names. One said made in Germany and the other said made in Austria.

Any help would be appreciated.

'J.C. Higgins' was a house brand Sears used for sporting goods until the early 1960s. The bike made in Austria was likely built by Steyr-Daimler-Puch. Possibly the German one, too.

Being inexpensive department store bikes, they're not particularly valuable. Especially in that condition. If you restore/refurbish them, you'd likely wind up selling them for a lot less than you put into them.

These pretty basic low end 1 speed cruisers worth about what there selling for. Not worth restoring cleaned up a bit and made usable they would be worth about $100 each as interesting beaters for hipster types.
