'75 Fuji "The Ace"
I am looking for some guesses, ballpark type (similar to my recent Colnago thread) guesses. The guy I purchased the Colnago Super from just might have a line on his Ace that he raced prior to building the Colnago. So, let us assume it needs a total refurb and paint is in keeping with age like my Colnago. All else intact.
What is a price you would pay for a keeper (not a flipper)?

Still learning
$275 +/- 10%. Dura Ace components, only thing holding down value would be tubulars.

I would say $250-300 in nice project condition needs overhaul TLC but with complete original DA/Crane components and no significant issues. The old school racing tubies with corncob and the fact these bikes weren't will known will hold the value down below what a bike of this level would usually sell for which is actual good for the OP.

A Fuji "The Ace" in reasonable shape with a straight frame should easily be worth around $300. It's definitely a collectable bike. Not to many of those around.

I can't say I ever saw a '75 Ace but I raced a '76 Pro and sold the '77 line.

Yes, the catalogs show the '75 The Ace with Crane and Dura Ace components. The '74 literature is scant on details.

The dealings between my friend and his guy that he sold his old The Ace to has been stalled. That is better than a "no" but in my friend's wording is delicate and in the works. He owned the Ace in high school as a racer in the Jr's before building the '77 Colnago that I now own.
Anyways, I have this '76 Fuji The Finest frameset to play around with.
